Creativity, Order and Development
Some weeks ago, I listened to a speech in the management class in ITA. The subject should have been
Management and Engineering and Enterpreneurship, but the man, an ex-ITA student, started talking about a lot of different things. One of them was about the lack of
order culture in Brasil. He said and I agree with him, that we brasilians are individually more able and smarter than people from developed countries. They succeed more than us, because they are more organized and they know how to work in teams.
But why are we not organised?? And here I quite disagree with him. He argued that we are too creative and creativity opposes to order. But I can see no problem in associating order and creativity. In fact, brasilians, without order, can transform their creativity mostly on samba, axé and other futile things, while the ordered americans, for example, invent light, telephone, computers...
